The Challenge
The project involved steel storage pipes exhibiting defects. Initial feedback from Yorkshire Water suggested a full system rebuild using traditional pipework, presenting a significant challenge that required careful assessment and consideration of alternative, cost-effective solutions.
The Solution
Advance Two engaged a metallurgist to assess the network, producing a report confirming the structural integrity of the storage pipes. Following this, Yorkshire Water reduced the remedial scope to applying a new in‑situ coating, avoiding a costly full system replacement. The works caused minimal disruption to residents, and the S104 was successfully placed onto maintenance.
